Art on the Streets, NOW!

The ROJO Out project started in 2006 in Barcelona with one clear goal in mind: changing advertising billboards into works of art by covering them up with paintings of new and upcoming artists of ROJO magazine-gallery.

Time passed by and the initiative got wide wings. Searching for new formats, the project flew to then land in the streets of São Paulo with Urban Stage. Artists like MWM, Tony de Marco, Eltono, Ovni, Nuria Mora, Superblast and Tofer are making big grey structures/buildings more colourful in the middle of the concrete jungle.

O projeto ROJO Out começou em 2006, com uma idéia bem definida: transformar outdoors publicitários em obras de arte na cidade de Barcelona, cubrindo os painéis com pinturas inéditas de artistas emergentes vinculados à revista-galeria ROJO.

O tempo passou e a iniciativa também ganhou asas. Em busca de novos formatos, o projeto alçou vôo e fez um pouso em São Paulo, com o Urban Stage. Os artistas MWM, Tony de Marco, Eltono, Ovni, Nuria Mora, Superblast e Tofer vão colorindo enormes estruturas de concreto em regiões onde o trânsito é intenso.
